Australia‘Mr. Crystalface’, also known as David Faulkner is a Sydney based artist who creates detailed works that serve as windows into another world which he has been conveying for over a decade.
This world is inhabited by strange creatures and mysterious entities whose stories are often ambiguous, their reason for existence may be deciphered by the subjective eyes of an observer.
He primarily uses pencils and fine tipped pens on paper, but also uses watercolours, gouache and digital mediums.
When he begins an artwork, he doesn’t know where it will go and allows his subconscious to guide him. Each piece is a journey and can take months, sometimes years to complete.
