Blues Harmonica 101An introductory workshop to blues harmonica for absolute beginners. With over a decade of experience as a professional harmonica player, Michael will guide you through the basics of blues harmonica – including: breathing patterns, playing single notes, bending notes, and playing your first blues song with both a chordal rhythm and a melody.
As the 2011 winner of the Australian Hohner Golden Harmonica Championships, Michael has performed at some of the world’s most prestigious festivals, such as Esoteric, The Town. Boomtown (UK), Rainbow Serpent, Dub Stone Festival (Italy), Reef Beat Festival (QLD). as well as touring extensively with the Ganga Giri band.
Remember to arrive early to the workshop as there are a limited number of sterilised harmonicas available for use for the workshop, otherwise, there will be beginner and high-quality harmonicas available for purchase on the day. If you have your own harmonica in the key of C, be sure to bring it with you.
