While priding himself as a versatile audio selector first and foremost, an eclectic ear and an appreciation for the anti-establishment has seen J’s style awash with everything from breaks and progressive house, through to techno, downtempo and drum & bass.
Whether it be club and bar gigs across Australia, opening up the new year at Summadayze, entertaining the doof crowds at Rainbow Serpent Festival and Esoteric, or braving the dust at Burning Man, J-Slyde’s musical-dexterity shines through in every performance.
Co-manning the nationally respected brand Substance Sounds, and birthing the hugely successful club-night Prognosis, J has also had the honour of supporting artists such as Nick Warren, Hybrid, Henry Saiz, Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Guy J, Apparat, Jody Wisternoff, Pig & Dan, Rennie Pilgrim, Krafty Kuts, Boris Brejcha, Stanton Warriors and Lee Coombs, while being a regular guest at parties such as Darkbeat, Instinct, Doesn’t Matter, Mahala and playing at festivals such as Rainbow Serpent, Esoteric & Summadayze, to name but a select few.
