The Regulators are a Melbourne-based DJ duo made up of Nethaniel Rochester and Tawanda M’zungu Leigh.
The duo have 8 years of experience playing at a range of clubs and festivals in Melbourne, as well as interstate and overseas. Their most notable local performances include the likes of Esoteric Festival, Babylon Festival, Chi Wow Wah City at St Kilda Festival, Circoloco Melbourne and Day Doof, as well as multiple sets at Revolver Upstairs, My Aeon and Pawn & Co, just to name a few. The duo have also performed overseas at venues such as Hatch (Bali) and Surya Cafe (Bali).
They are versatile and their style varies, but you’ll find them mostly selecting from Afro, Techno, Progressive & Deep House sounds. Regardless of genre, their style can be described as grungy and chunky, yet energising and fun.
The Regulators co-founded the event brand The Sound Project in 2016, through which they host regular parties in Melbourne, such as Under The Lamp and their new Day Party series. The Regulators are the brand’s resident duo and the sound of TSP events is molded and shaped alongside the development of The Regulators sound.
Looking into 2025, The Regulators have secured some exciting bookings throughout both the club and festival circuit.
